As the META-Museum moves forward, the consortium has finalized a number of important milestones that contributes throughout the project’s findings.
The team successfully delivered D2.2 – Transformative Cultural Heritage, stakeholders and Audiences which provides an in-depth analysis of audience profiles and their understanding of the transformative potential of cultural heritage. This analysis aimed to examine emotional dynamics, cognitive responses, and perceptions of cultural heritage’s transformative power. Importantly, the study engaged both the general public and experts from diverse disciplines, including museologists, neuroscientists, and sociologists, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of cultural engagement from multiple perspectives. It also identified diverse audience typologies, with particular attention to disaffected and non-public groups often overlooked in cultural strategies, thereby ensuring a more inclusive approach.
The analysis concludes a series of practical recommendations for the cultural sector, on how to foster inclusivity, accessibility, and meaningful engagement, providing guidance that will inform future practices.
Moreover, the consortium has also delivered D2.3 – General Assessment and Interpretation Model, a comprehensive framework designed to evaluate the multidimensional impact of META-Museum experiences. This model goes beyond simple measurement following an interdisciplinary approach, integrating neurophysiological data, psychometric scales, and emotional and behavioral indicators to capture how visitors perceive, interact with, and are transformed by cultural heritage.
Alongside, the partnership is advancing the development of educational module contents, designed to consolidate and share key findings with cultural and museum professionals, operators, and institutions, ensuring the project’s impact extends well beyond its duration.
