Within WP6, most effort is now dedicated to the out carrying of the status quo measurements in museum associated partners.
In the last week of May, POLITO and UNIROMA1 teams have been in MAC Barcelona for the second session of measurements of the T6.3 Status quo Measurement. MAC Barcelona staff had spent the month preceding experiments reaching out to local partners, institutions and associations to advertise the upcoming activities of META-MUSEUM in the museum. The campaign was a success with a total of 95 subjects taking part to the measurement initiative; thanks to the characteristics of MAC a great share of the sample was fitted both EEG headsets and the GSR sensors to track their response to the cultural stimuli. The third and final session of the status quo campaign will take place in the first week of July in Alésia MuséoParc.
Interpretation of data from the status quo sessions, coming both from neurophysiological acquisition and questionnaires, will provide a clearer picture of the current modalities and efficacy of visitors’ interaction and engagement with Cultural Heritage. This will constitute the base for further development and refinement of the TransforMEANS Theory – META-MUSEUM research backbone, developed in WP2; the advancement will ultimately lead to the design, implementation and testing of its content, assumptions and principles in future museum sessions.
Specifically looking to next year’s measurement campaign, and contextual implementation of the TransforMEANS Theory content and principles for testing – WP6 held, overseen by OPI-PIB, three workshop sessions to bring together all partners to brainstorm and identify museum-specific topics and declinations to center future testing on.
