MAC – Catalan Archaeology Museum

    The Museum is housed in the old Graphic Arts Palace, a pavilion built in 1929 for the International Exhibition. Located at the heart of Montjuïc hill it has three separate but interconnected spaces with capacities for up to 300 standing and many possibilities, such as holding an event surrounded by works full of history.

    The Museum of Archeology of Catalonia permanently displays the vestiges, fundamentally of an archaeological nature, which, since the appearance of humanity , they illustrate the cultural evolution of the environment.“

    The MAC integrates seven centers: Two museums, three archaeological sites and two research centers. 

    Lines of action: cataloging archaeological collections, research, preservation of cultural heritage, public use of archaeological knowledge, exhibitions, and citizen participation.
