Role in META-MUSEUM 

POLITO coordinates the overall management of the META-MUSEUM project and lead the WP6 activities related to experimental sessions in museums – included Pilot 1. In this frame it carries out indoor positioning data collection.  

The team of architects and engineers contributes to the iterative development of the TrasnforMEANS Theory, supports the data management, the development of digital and physical prototypes, and the design and implementation of the final Pilot 3.  

Expertise & Capabilities 

POLITO is represented by two different Departments: the Department of Architecture and Design – DAD, with expertise in museography, cultural heritage enhancement and conservation and cultural accessibility. The Department of Environment, Land and Infrastructure Engineering – DIATI, with expertise in geomatics, contributes to indoor positioning system methodology to be used in the frame of experimental activities in museums

Relevant Past Experience 

Over the last ten years, PoliTo has won 400 Horizon Projects, coordinating 98. Since 2021 POLITO became is one of the Official Partners of the New European Bauhaus initiative.  On topics closely aligned with META-MUSEUM, the team has long been actively engaged and has recently concluded the national Neuro Museum project in collaboration with neuroscientists of UNIROMA1.
